I have been a coach, mentor, and trainer for 30+ years working with teams across the globe in a wide variety of businesses and disciplines.

I am a Decorated Gulf War Veteran, expedition sailboat builder and racer, and PTSD survivor. I know what it means to struggle, and have committed my life to helping others succeed.

DEREK'S STORY

1990

Derek left the Army in 1991 to attend NC State University, where he received a BS in Textile Engineering. He paid his tuition with the GI Bill and the profits from a residential and commercial maintenance company he started.

1995

Derek worked as a Research Engineer, earning his Six Sigma Master Black Belt in 2007. He coached and mentored students across 76 plants worldwide. During this time, he worked with another inventor to design and patent a steel descaling method that was sold to the largest steel manufacturer in the US.

2015

Derek co-founded Legal Manufacturing in 2015, specializing in metal plating and speciality firearm finishes. He would leave this company in 2017, buried in a mountain of debt. Rather than declare bankruptcy, he negotiated with his creditors and continued to make payments until the debt was satisfied

2020

He eventually started several online business from 2020-2023, looking for the niche that would ultimately bring success. He was introduced to sales funnels in 2021, and has been hooked ever since. He has gone on to specialize in digital marketing and coaching, leveraging sales funnels in his agency, Dvet Digital, llc.
